I absolutely love playing soccer. It's one place where I can get out and participate in a rigorous exercise and still have fun. I have been playing since my freshman year in high school. I think the reason why I started playing is because my older sister, Kami, played and loved it. I always looked up to my sister and decided if she liked it, I would love it too. So I joined the team. I'd never played before but, luckily, the team was not very good so everyone who tried out made

the team. I loved the soccer team. I met so many wonderful people who became some of my best friends. I lived for soccer season because it not only provided me an excuse to hang out with friends more but was also great exercise as well.
Soccer has become a way for me to let out my frustration as well. If I'm having a hard day or have some problem that I just can't seem to figure out, I turn to soccer for an intense game that will help me clear my head. It helps me understand things better and lets me express my frustration in a healthy sort of way. Sometimes I come away from soccer without any solution at all, just tired and sore. But I never get tired of the game I love. Even if the reason why I love soccer is because it's the only sport I'm somewhat good at. When I play soccer, I am happy.
Another one of the reasons I love soccer is the battle wounds you get. I'm putting together a

soccer team for the summer semester at BYU-Idaho and have been playing a lot of soccer to get in shape. Last Saturday, I played about 4 hours of soccer! It was intense. It was only 2 hours in the morning and 2 at night but after 3 months of little-to-no workout in the winter, I was sore! Yesterday, we had a practice for the team I'm setting up and we played for 2 more hours. Afterwards, I was really sore but it wasn't until this morning that I saw how cool it was! Here are some pictures of my cool new battle wounds. The bruises are halfway up my leg and are a lot darker in person but you can kind of see how cool they are from here :-)

Ouch! I'm not so sure that's "cool"! Be careful! And have lots of fun!
I hope as the season goes along that your legs get a little tougher, so they don't bruise so easily.
Yeah, I decided I should start wearing shinguards so I don't bruise so much. It was fun though. :-)
funny...chanae stop running into trees while you play and maybe you wouldn't have this probably huh...just kidding i'm sure it was something much worse than a tree like when you tripped on the ball...several times...i love you too.
