I love my job, don't get me wrong... but I have to do a night shift at least twice a week. During this time I get everything ready to post online (for the Mormon Times Web site) and then I wait... and wait... I can't post anything till midnight for some reason so I usually stay until 12:30 a.m. (1:30 a.m. if things aren't going well). This is me, waiting for the time to pass by.

We're going to the temple and we're gonna get married!
I haven't posted for so long, I don't know where to start. I'll start out expressing gratitude to my parents and Venita for helping me out so far. My parents came up last weekend to go through the Draper Temple open house, meet David's parents and take me wedding dress shopping.

When I called to schedule the temple for July 28 and found out it was closed for cleaning, it really hit me hard. We have had such a hard time figuring out a good schedule for everyone. I've always wanted to have all my brothers and sisters there when I got married -- just to kind of complete the family. I think it's so wonderful how much our family has grown throughout the years. We've grown up, and in a way, grown a little apart. But we'll always be a family, always. And I wanted everyone to be there to celebrate the happiest day of my life. But after changing the date so much and finding complications with everything I tried, I just decided to go for what was best for David and myself. And when I did, it just all worked out. The temple has a sealing room that fits 85 people -- which is perfect for us. That way, any one who wants to come is invited. I really love this temple and I'm so glad we're going to get married on March 28, 2009.
We're going to the open house again on Valentine's day. It was David's idea -- very romantic I thought. His parents are going to go through it with us. That'll be really fun. I really like his parents. Living here in Utah has helped me become even closer with my future in-laws. I think my parents and David's parents really got along well. We went to his house for breakfast and his mom had fixed an amazing breakfast. She even put out her nice tablecloth. It was cute and very nice. Once our parents started talking, there was no stopping. They talked for about 3-4 hours straight. I lost track.

I know this is probably going against tradition but I've already shown David the pictures of the wedding dress. So I feel it's ok to show you all. I went to GownbyPamela in Orem, UT. They rent out gowns. I got the gown, the hoop skirt, a corset, a tiara, and a vail with the dress. It was a bit expensive but I only get one wedding day so I wanted to have something I really loved.

I decide to rent the gown because I didn't want to have it sitting in my closet for the rest of my life. Yes, it's a good heirloom. Yes, you could have it to show your children/maybe even have your daughter wear it when she get married. But I will have pictures. And I want my daughter to pick out her own wedding dress that is unique for her. Also, I was able to get a really expensive dress for a cheaper price. I really like this dress.

So that's what's going on in my life. Today I'm going to go shopping with Venita for centerpieces, shoes, ect. It'll be fun. And we asked Aunt Janice to take our engagement pictures. I think she does a really good job and we'll have a good time.
Also, our wedding colors will be red (a deep color of red, not bright. I won't be picky on the exact shade, but I prefer it to be a darker red... not bright) chocolate brown (there wasn't a chocolate brown available in the font colors but I'm guessing you all know what chocolate brown looks like) and white.
The Draper Temple is beautiful. I think we picked a winner. It was wonderful to see the whole thing. We've been watching this temple ever since we decided to get married it's just grown on us so much. I love it. And I think my parents enjoyed it as well.
